Mini relays

Relays are used to avoid voltage drops and resulting performance losses of attached voltage consumers. A drop of only 10% of the nominal voltage used in your car may already lead to performance losses of light output greater than 33%! We offer two types of mini relays: normally open relays and changeover relays. The normally open relays is used to close the electrical contact and to switch your consumer on; typical appliances are head lights, additional driving or fog lights, horns, alarms etc. The changeover relay switches from one consumer to another, e.g. switching from horns to fanfares or when adjusting the ventilator speed, etc.

Essential quality features of relays are the material used, the perfect winding of the coil and the exact positioning of contact points. All these result in good performance over a long lifetime. The designation of pins follows an international rule, e.g. the pin 30 is used only for “current in“, while 87 designates the pin “current out“.

The new generation of FLÖSSER relays have color coded bottom plates and carry the “E“ and “CE“ sign as proof of electromagnetic compatibility.
